Nectarease History:

Formed in 1973, Nelson Apiaries Ltd is a family owned business operated by Philip and Evelyn Cropp. Philip’s grandfather started producing honey from hives in the Nelson area on a part time basis over 100 years ago. Over the past 25 years the company has grown substantially and has diversified into the natural health market.

Based in the upper Motupiko Valley, Nelson Apiaries, in conjunction with it’s sister company Rainbow, now has over 2,000 hives sited throughout the Nelson and West Coast areas of New Zealand. Placed in the pristine bush and forests of this beautiful part of New Zealand, the hives produce a variety of natural honeys free from insecticide or other agricultural sprays. Research indicates that honey produced in such clean, green environments increases the therapeutic benefits of the bee products (Postmes & Van den Bogaard, 1993).

Nelson Apiaries is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in it’s products and to adding value to the health benefits of honey. A research and development based company, it is the only company in New Zealand to have had the confidence in it’s manuka honey and bee venom product to commission clinical trials in order to have statistical proof of the benefits of Nectar Ease.

The feedback from customers who were taking Nectar Ease was so positive a preliminary clinical trial was conducted on 20 patients in Auckland. This trial found that 66% of arthritis patients had a decrease in their pain level and an increase in their mobility levels as a result of taking Nectar Ease.

Buoyed by these results Nelson Apiaries went on to conduct a double blind placebo controlled clinical trial with Dr Alan Doube in Hamilton. The gold standard of clinical trials, this trial with 97 patients enrolled confirmed the earlier results with 66% of osteoarthritis patients having a statistically significant improvement in their pain levels. This was a rigorous test of a natural health product as patients remained on their current therapies (non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, aspirin, paracetamol etc) and experienced a further reduction in their pain.

Testimonial #1:

Patricia Hart is a qualified registered nurse, and district nurse, and after 40 years nursing experience of heavy work with patients, she now has vast damage to her spine, which has developed into osteoarthritis. She has been in severe pain for 12 years, unable to do housework or go upstairs easily. Two operations on her back, burning off nerve endings, resulted in the nerves growing back, so she was still in severe pain. Doctors could do nothing for her.

A friend, who was also a nursing sister with the same problem, introduced Patricia to Nectar Ease Original Manuka Honey with Bee Venom. Patricia has been taking this for 3 months and is now virtually pain free. It has changed her life, and her maneuverability, so much that she wants to thank the producers of this marvelous honey. She has introduced many of her friends with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other muscular pains, to this remedy with great success, and is now looking forward to the future without fear of the serious deep pain that she has had for the last 12 years.

Dear Nectar Ease,

Little did I know when I attended the Staffordshire W.I Spring meeting that it was about to change my life! We were delighted (all 700 of us) to discover our free sample pack on our chair and enjoyed the talk and couldn't wait to try it. I am amazed at what it has done for me. I am 68 yrs old and have had stiff painful knees for 2 years. The Nectar Balm has completely cured this. I can garden till my hearts content. I have even volunteered to have my garden open for the village W.I garden walk. This entails a huge amount of work. The balm & capsules have helped the arthritis in my toes too, most of the time I am pain free. I have never had so much energy before. I am looking around for the next job to do. I seems like a miracle to me, I hope it will help many more people. Every good wish & many thanks. Thelma
