The Bee Well System is a result of studying old Holistic health methods used in Europe, China, India, Greece and in The USA. Many of my conclusions are from doctor D.C. Jarvis M.D. who was an American Physician from 1892 and wrote a book entitled "Vermont Folk Medicine" in the 1958. In my own quest for better health, I have discovered that the use of mainly garlic, honey and bee pollen have given me more strength and stamina, allergy relief, more resistance to colds, flu and daily stresses, and the desired weight loss that I had been seeking for years. This system has lowered my total cholesterol and LDL levels and alleviated anxiety in my life, because I have a greater sense of well being. I have spent hundreds of hours researching Garlic, Honey and Bee Pollen and their roles in Medicine. Garlic and honey were widely proscribed for colds, asthma and allergies for centuries in most parts of the world. I had suffered with allergies for my whole life. When I found that the cure was " Right in front of my nose", and even in my own kitchen, I was astounded! I haven't had to take any allergy medication for over 6 months now. Do you know that ancient kings and noblemen dating as far back as 5000 B.C. were buried with honey in their tombs for the afterlife? It was as important then as a king getting buried with a barrel of crude oil in our time!!! Somehow, us Americans have lost this knowledge. We eat sugar and sugar substitutes and when we get cancer and nervous disorders, we go to the doctor and are given drugs and treatments hoping to cure it. To me, sugar is poison. When sugar is taken in my body, My glucose level rises rapidly causing a sugar high. When it dips back down in the matter of an hour or so, I feel hungry again. I then need more sugar or carbs to get my glucose level back up. It is like driving my car by alternately stepping on and releasing the accelerator pedal for an herky jerky uneven drive. When I use honey, my glucose level rises more slowly and not as high as sugar. It remains steady and tapers off more gradually. My energy level is more steady and my previous hunger for carbs caused by the sugar lows aren't as dramatic. By alleviating the Hungry Response, the need for carbs is alleviated. Everyone knows that too many carbs make us fat and gain weight. I am now giving my body a smoother ride thru life. Honey is rich in Vitamins and minerals and it has many other advantages over sugar. Scientists with The Department of Agriculture have found that honey increases the body's absorption of calcium by as much as 25%. Calcium is important for strong bones, nails, hair, and teeth and is also good for sound heart health. Usually we get enough calcium if we follow a healthy diet. The added absorption rate thru the use of honey is what helps us get more. Bee pollen is one of nature’s oldest and richest foods. It is the male seed of the flowers that the bee visits in his daily routine of making honey. The bee gathers it to bring back to the hive to nourish the younger bees. It contains 35 - 40% protein and high concentrations of B vitamin complex in the form of essential amino acids. It bolsters the immune system and will detoxify your body. It also stimulates the metabolic process, thus giving you more energy and burning the fat at a faster pace. As you body makes new cells with a strengthened Immune system and better blood, you will begin to feel much better because your internal organs will begin to all work better. Athletes, especially in Europe, use bee pollen for endurance, strength, stamina and mental clarity. Garlic has been used for centuries to alleviate respiratory and digestive disorders. Japanese and Chinese physicians prescribe it as a cure for hypertension. It also helps alleviate Heart disease by thinning the blood and lowering the blood pressure. It stimulates the immune system and also has a positive effect on Arthritis, asthma, Bladder infections, High cholesterol, cancer, blood pressure, coughs and colds, gingivitis, fungus infections and indigestion. It contains a natural antibiotic called ancillin. You can also smear the juice of a whole clove on the baseboards of your home to keep away ants and other unwanted insects. Although the whole cloves are best, I take 1 or 2 garlic tablets daily with my breakfast. You can also take unscented garlic tablets if you find the smell offensive. If garlic does not agree with you, just take honey and bee pollen daily.

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT, take a small amount of each item individually, over the course of 3 different days to check for allergy and adverse reactions. IF YOU ARE DIABETIC, I DO NOT ADVISE YOU TO TAKE ANY HONEY AT ALL. Garlic may upset your stomach at first. It is important to increase your water consumption by as much as 4 - 6 glasses more per day when on the Bee Well System. If you are allergic to bees or honey, you will be allergic to Bee pollen so don't even try them. But if you are unsure, test both by taking a small amount, like a 1/4 teaspoon of honey, or a few granules of bee pollen at different times. Some adverse reactions may be a reddening of the face, a cough or wheezing or a flushed feeling. Honey is twice as sweet as sugar, so you just need half as much. Raw honey is the best. Any processed honeys that have been heated above hive temperature have lost most of their vitamins and minerals. Generally, the Darker the honey, the more vitamins and minerals it has. There are over 5000 varieties of honeys and each one has different healing properties much like herbs do. The favorites in the USA are Clover, Wildflower and Orange Blossom.

In the morning, I take some low fat cottage cheese and add a teaspoon of honey on top. I then add a teaspoon of bee pollen and maybe some fresh fruit, Banana, orange, blueberries, etc. This is my morning sundae! If you don't like cottage cheese, use unsweetened yogurt or just take whole wheat toast or a rice cake and sprinkle the honey and bee pollen on top. You can also just eat honey and bee pollen together. Even though they sell bee pollen tablets, there is no equal to the granules gathered and made by the honey bees. I follow up with a glass of water or fruit juice. If you drink coffee or another hot beverage, Give the honey at least 10 minutes to get into your stomach first. Anything hot will diminish the minerals and vitamins from the honey. After I eat, I then take a garlic tablet with water or fruit juice. You can use scented or unscented garlic. You can also increase your garlic intake by using more of in on your food. Garlic Powder is ok, but not as effective as the whole clove. Stay away from Garlic salt. The salt is not good if you want to lose weight. Do not eat sugar or drink sodas with sugar or sugar substitutes. These are poison and will counteract the benefits of the Bee Well System. Soda will reduce calcium absorption, and sugar will make you body's nervous system go up and down. You want the steady smooth ride. I usually drink water or fruit juices. It only goes down once, so make it a quality drink.

For me, I have found that this regimen and watching my diet has improved my well being. My nerves have settled down, and my whole outlook on life has become more positive because I have begun to take an active role in my own healing. Most of all it is easy! The lecithin in Bee pollen and the increase of water consumption, flushes fat from the body. Another ingredient in Bee pollen, that is a natural amino acid called phenylalanine, is an appetite supressa nt. Believe me, I have tried exercise, diet and really worked hard at trying to keep my weight down and cholesterol levels below 200 for over 5 years. I had cut down and cut out red meat, lunch meat, bread, cakes and just seemed to never get anywhere until I started this system. The prescribed medicines for lowering cholesterol all gave me adverse effects, and I needed my liver checked every few months! Asthma, Allergies and Colds

The purpose of this article is to relay information about the management of allergies, asthma and colds using foods and supplements. I have had allergies and asthma all my life. I am now 55 years old and really began in earnest in December of 2003 to use foods and supplements to help manage my symptoms. This is the time of year when my allergies really manifest themselves, especially from about the middle of November thru the New Year. I live in the Northeast section of the USA, specifically, the Philadelphia Pa area. I know that I am allergic to leaves and molds, dust, many foods, dogs, cats, Christmas trees and the like. Years ago when I was 25, I was tested and had 48 positive readings for 80 allergy tests. When we go visiting for the holidays, I must be extra careful. I have had some of my worst attacks on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

I have used vitamin C since I was a small Child. It was my mother’s favorite supplement. I have used massive doses( up to 10 grams) to help ward off allergy and asthma attacks when they manifest themselves. I usually take at least 3 grams a day, split up in 1 gram, (1000mg) doses, morning noon and night. It is said that Vitamin C has antihistamine like action on the body. Even if you take it once a day. Start out with 500 mg. It is better than doing nothing. It is a water soluble vitamin and passes thru our bodies very quickly.

It is a known fact that Garlic and honey were used for thousands of years for colds and allergies. Garlic contains a natural antibiotic called ancillin. Eat it raw take tablets or capsules, but get it in you. If I get a cough, I mince a clove or 2 of garlic into a few tablespoons of honey. This is especially good for a cough because it breaks up my congestion. I eat it, then drink cold or room temperature water. Your breath won’t smell too good but your cough will become productive and the congestion will start to abate within 10 minutes. The use of lemon in tea with honey also helps. Some teas, especially green tea, have antioxidants like vitamin C does. Using lemon, and for that matter, apple cider or any vinegar will help make your blood acid, which makes it hard for bacteria to live and grow in your body.

Back in the days before doctors had blood tests, they used litamis paper to check ones urine for acidity. It was known that if your urine was slightly acid, you were basically healthy. These are the reasons to use lemons or limes when we have a cold, or use apple cider or red wine vinegar.

Honey, especially raw honey, will help build up resistance to our enemies, allergens. The raw honey contains bee pollen, which is derived from flowers. Getting local honey is said to be the best, but I personally use Manuka honey with 82% pollen from New Zealand. There are over 5000 varieties of honey, and when you eat each kind, you get the healing properties from the plant species it is derived from. Manuka is from the tea tree. It is great on burns. Every cook should have some in his kitchen. Using honey and garlic every day will also improve your skin. You can use it on your face to soften your skin and wrinkles. It is what Cleopatra used. In ancient times, honey was used for wound healing. Manuka Honey is one of the best wound healing honeys. All honeys are good for your digestive system. After all, if it helps with your skin on the outside, it only makes sense that it will help on the inside. I have had a much easier time breathing since using honey and eliminating sugar and all sugar substitutes from my diet. This is a very hard thing to do because of the very addictive nature of sugar, but the benefits will soon be apparent and you won’t want sugar. By taking control of our glycemic index and keeping it more steady, our nerves will calm down and our bodies will have a much smoother existence. Sugar, which I consider poison, is so pervasive in our American society, it is no wonder there are so many diabetics and people with nervous disorders. Can you name any holiday, other than Veterans day or Presidents day, that is not celebrated with candy, decorated cakes, or other sugars? Take a look around the stores. Right after Halloween, The Holiday candies, then Valentines Day, then Easter, Mothers day, Fathers Day, it goes on and on! They don’t call it sugar addiction, But It Is! Sugar, due to it’s erratic up and down action on our bodies, is one of the most addictive substances known to man. Using honey will help wear us off of sugar and gives us a more steady and level glycemic index, the same as eating fruits and vegetables does. Curb your sugar addiction by turning off the sugar switch. Know the difference between good sugar and bad sugar. Use honey to wean yourself and you will feel less hungry. Straighten out your glycemic index and you will have more energy, because your metabolism will operate on a higher level longer and more steady. I was many pounds overweight and I dropped 2 pants sizes in 3 months just by stopping all sugar and artificial sweeteners and substituting honey and fruits. I lost about 25 lbs. Losing the weight helped me breathe easier too. This was big help in managing my asthma. Using honey instead of sugar will help you sleep better also. Take control of your sugar switch and you will be doing yourself the best favor you can.

So in summation. Take vitamin C every day and use Manuka or local raw Honey. I take a teaspoon in the morning and one before bedtime or with my evening meal. If you get a cough use garlic eat it, suck the clove, etc Use a real clove where possible. If you get any wheezing from asthma, suck a clove for 5 minutes biting into it and getting the juice down your throat. Then drink water. Use more water and about 3 – 5 Grams of vitamin C. this is how I battale asthma and win. I rarely need an inhaler. I do suffer a little. But I do a breathing exercise to strengthen my lungs.
